Hannah Cobb is a Manchester-based generalist working across film, graphic design, writing, sound and discursive event organising. Her research interests centre primarily around digital anthropology; how emerging digital infrastructures impact human populations, and how individuals and societies in turn shape the technologies we use. She is currently 1/7 of the n-Space cohort at Somerset House Studios, a new space for interdisciplinary experimentation across art and technology, bringing together artists, technologists and academics.
Hannah is 1/2 of duo Y7 with her partner Declan Colquitt. Y7 specialise in the use and critique of emerging technologies to produce films, write, curate and design. Their interview-led documentary Undead Internet Theory was released in October 2025 after being exhibited at Patchlab, Krakow, and is currently available to view on DIS.art. As Y7, they organise reading groups and social events focused on critical approaches to uses of emerging technology. They have shown work and appeared on panels internationally; in London, New York, Dubai, Krakow, Amsterdam, Melbourne, Manchester and Edinburgh.
